That time I knit a sock and read HEX

Because this #throwbackthursday needs a hex.

I just recently finished reading Hex by Thomas Olde Heuvelt. I started reading it in January of 2018, and as often happens when I put something down for a while, I forgot to finish it.

Hex by Thomas Olde Heuvelt
Hex: I’m not getting over how impressed I am that the sock matches the book cover.

That is, until this past week. I may have broken a few all my rules for reading horror. Yes, the rules I outlined when I started reading Hex. I’m still trying to make heads and tails out of it. I plan to have a review ready for next week. In the meantime, enjoy a strangely cozy picture of a tale of thrilling horror.

And a sock. Because there has to be a sock. 🙂

A minor sidebar waxing poetic about the sock and a pair of Really Big Feet.

The sock did eventually join its mate and go to its forever home. It’s a nice sock. Very stripey.

The sock, by the way, went to my brother, I think. I really need to keep better records of these things. I’m just usually afraid I’ll give away the big surprise at Yule.

You see, my brother has huge feet. HUGE. It’s like someone placed a (heehee) hex on him when he was little. “Like the family dog, you will have to grow into your own paws!”

He did, too. He’s a giant.

But that kind of logic is more in keeping with the world building in The Vine Witch by Luanne G Smith. Which I also just finished. Go me!
